Whilst I’m sat on this Bandwagon may I also suggest that Avatar was spectacular but story wasn’t great. It was just Pocahontas with giant blue smurfs. The 3D was the best I’ve seen (even better than Jaws 3D!!) but I’m still not convinced that this 3D malarkey is the future of cinema. Not yet anyway. Hold on, that doesn’t make sense. Of course it can’t be the future of cinema yet because it’s not the future. But then when the future comes it won’t be the future it’ll be the Present of Cinema… What a metaphysical can of worms this has turned out to be. What I’m trying to say is that I think the technology still needs to improve before we can call it the Future of Cinema (i.e. Less head-ache inducing/ more natural 3D).
